For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.

Pastor Martha – The Heart and Soul of United Methodist Church
Pastor Martha is more than just a spiritual leader; she is a beacon of light, love, and inspiration for everyone who walks through the doors of United Methodist Church. Her journey in ministry is a testament to faith, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her mission.
From the very beginning, Pastor Martha has not only preached the gospel but also lived out the core values of Christianity—love, kindness, and support for others. Her words touch hearts, and her actions speak even louder, creating a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and uplifted.
She leads the church community with wisdom and care, guiding each person on their spiritual path and helping them find strength in their faith. Under her leadership, the church is not just a place of worship—it is a home for those seeking comfort, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Pastor Martha firmly believes that faith is not just a personal experience but an active force for good. Her ministry extends far beyond the church walls—she supports those in need, inspires young people, cares for the elderly, and always extends a helping hand to those facing hardships.
She is a voice of hope that never wavers, even in the most challenging times.
Her prayers, guidance, and unwavering support give people the strength to overcome obstacles and look toward the future with faith and confidence.
Thanks to her dedication and heartfelt service, United Methodist Church continues to be a place where love, understanding, and spiritual renewal flourish.
Ministry is a second career for Pastor Martha, having taught elementary school previously. She holds a BS from Cornell University in Human Development and Family Studies and a Masters in Elementary Education from Pace University. She began her first pastoral appointment at Vail’s Gate UMC in New York in 2008 and then added Gardentown after two years, serving both congregations for another three. In 2013, she graduated from Drew University with her MDiv and was appointed to Monroe UMC in CT. In 2017, she was fully ordained and appointed to Clinton UMC the following year. She loves teaching and learning and has aspirations to work on her Doctorate one day. In the meantime, she enjoys taking continuing education courses and reading. In her offtime she enjoys reading novels, walking their goofy dog, hiking and playing games or doing puzzles with the family. Gardening is also a passion; weeding is good for the soul! Pastor Martha is married to Wayne, has a daughter Juliana, stepson George and daughter-in-law Melissa.
Her official office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. but can be found in the office at other times or certainly by appointment.
