Our New Canaan Young Families Ministry is focused on creating fellowship opportunities for families with little ones. Through our Young Families Ministry, we aim to create a fun and creative environment that will help facilitate conversation and play! With family activities ranging from Splash Zone at Chelsea Piers and assembling Midnight Run toiletry kits to “adults only” Game Night and a painting party, we are thrilled to be a part of this growing ministry. If you are a young couple and/or family with elementary-aged children and younger, please join us! If you have children that span multiple school ages, please feel free to bring the whole family. We look forward to a fun year!

Our Adult Education program provides a safe environment for church and community members to explore and deepen their faith.
Small group opportunities are offered periodically through the year. Typically, studies run six to eight weeks and are offered both during the day and in the evening. Recent studies have included:
- traditional Bible studies
- parents’ relationships with their young children
- parents’ relationships with adult children
- the meaning of happiness from a faith-based perspective
An annual men’s retreat is held each winter, and a men’s breakfast is held monthly.
See “Upcoming Events” for our latest discussion/education group. We’d love to have you join us!
United Methodist Women
The activities of the UMW focus on three areas — fellowship, service, and education. Open to all women of the church, our activities help us get to know each other better and strengthen our church family. We hope you will join us!
Events for 2019-2020 included a porch pot crafting evening at Copia Garden Center, a holiday tour of the Lockwood-Matthews Mansion, and a “Hands Only” CPR training. All women in the church are invited to participate!
Adult choir is open to adults of any age who are interested in worshiping God through song. Music reading skills and prior singing experience are not necessary, just a willing heart and voice. We help lead singing and present an anthem during most worship services from September-June each year. In addition to singing, we often share laughs and prayers with one another.
Regular rehearsals are Wednesdays at 8:00 PM in the Sanctuary. We will resume choir rehearsals when COVID-19 restrictions permit.
Do you play an instrument, or are you interested in singing a solo, duet, or trio? We have all sorts of opportunities if you are willing to use your musical gifts in worship services. Please contact Brian Zuro (203-966-2666 ext. 810). We particularly are looking for special music as our church reopens, and choirs are still not allowed to sing.
